"Quiet Dawn" is an oil painting by the renowned 20th-century British artist Samuel, maintaining the artist's characteristic clean and crisp style. The shimmering reflections before one's eyes, the distant mountains, and the early summer sky echo each other, and in the hazy light, everything is so quiet. The artist was one of the founders of 20th-century realist painting and a famous illustrator for British cartoonists. In 1970, he published numerous oil paintings and watercolors with Solomon and Whitehead, which were later sold at the May Gallery in Tavistock. After his passing, his works could only occasionally be seen at auctions in Tavistock and Plymouth. He favored the rural landscapes of Southern England, and his works exude the simplicity and kindness of nature, allowing viewers to calm their minds and contemplate.
